Container Production: Approx. 75% of workload

Propagation: Approx. 10% of workload
- Seed collection, processing, and sowing
- Softwood cutting
- Grafting
Research and Development: Approx. 5% of workload
- Involvement with plant improvement projects
- Gain insight into plant selection and evaluation
Field Liner Production: Approx. 5% of workload
- Production, propagation, and growing activities related to field liner production
Landscape Install/Construction: Approx. 5% of workload
- Hands on experience with landscape install/construction
Student Internship Benefits:
Student intern will gain valuable “real-world” propagation and production experience in the landscape nursery field through daily interaction and job shadowing with experienced, veteran growers and production managers.

Requirements:
- 13 week (500 to 600 hours) full time summer program from late May through August
- Must be a student of Horticulture, or a related field.
- Avid interest in interest in horticulture propagation and production.
- Devoted to developing a career in the Nursery-Landscape industry.
- Keep a daily log of work and learning experiences to be reviewed by Johnson’s Nursery internship supervisor.
Wages: $350 per week Stipend
